An unforgettable weekend recently attracted over 25,000 festival-goers to Graubünden for BIG AIR CHUR 2023. Visitors were treated to two days of entertainment as well as top-class sport, as the festival not only offered an impressive stage show with acclaimed artists such as Makko and G - Eazy, but also an exciting snowboard and ski competition that captivated all visitors.
The main attraction of the festival was undoubtedly the halfpipe, where the participants of the competition performed their tricks. From simple spins to complicated jumps, everything was there. When the snowboard finals kicked off on Saturday evening, a large crowd stood around the pipe to watch the athletes. Participants from various countries, such as Switzerland, Great Britain and Australia, performed spectacular tricks that amazed the audience and got them celebrating. Even the bad weather and the rain, which was only noticed after the show, didn't matter.
Switzerland's Mathilde Gremaud and Canada's Dylan Deschamps took home the victory in freeski. Kokomo Murase and Hiroto Ogiwara, both from Japan, were the winners in snowboard freestyle.
After the winners were announced, more people gathered around the stage again. With their energetic performances, the athletes managed to charge up the atmosphere and get the audience in the mood for rapper G-Eazy.
When G-Eazy took to the stage, the crowd erupted into thunderous applause. The artist, who is known for his characteristic style and charismatic stage presence, did not disappoint. With his two hits such as "Him & I" and "Me, Myself and I", he brought the evening to a climax.
