What kind of
a season opener. Three days of perfect weather and snow conditions were already
an announcement for the 34th KTO. So the Snowpark Kaunertal succeeded in
perfect event, not only on, but also next to the event itself
Slopes. Not only during the day, but also during the very short nights.
The newly created last year #Naturerun with a length of 2 km was extended again, adapted with new rails and made every "park rats" heart beat faster. Whether pro or beginner, there was something for every level at the "Naturerun 2.0", for the first time also with some nature features made of wood, and provided a lot of motivation, beaming faces and fat tricks in the probably longest park in Europe. Due to the huge snow reserves from spring, the park was in top condition this year - perfectly shaped and bigger than ever before for the opening.
Who
had not yet found the right material for this season, was able to participate in the Testival every three days
the latest material from over 35 hottest brands for free
to try it out. The Testival was framed with beats, workshops, chill areas,
Side events, competitions and numerous sessions. Besides snowpark and
Testival everybody could let off steam at the pump track, in the Mini Ramp a round
skate, improve their balance in the Balance Board Park and even
Avalanche knowledge in the avalanche workshop by Ortovox for the coming season
refresh or develop mental skills in Mental Coaching.
Near Kaunertal
Opening, the supporting programme is no less interesting. Thus the
by-pass road in Feichten closed and every Friday and Saturday evening
the KTO Street Party. Street Party in Feichten means:
streetfood, drinks, live music, DJ line-up and then an invitational night
Rail Jam in the middle of the village. What a party! If that wasn't enough,
could join the KTO Club Circle at three locations in Feichten with music and
Parties for every taste. No wonder some boarders used the Sunday to
Relax and take it a little easier.
After the worthy start of the season we are now hot for the winter and are looking forward to the 35th KTO in autumn 2020.
