Action at the highest heights is guaranteed: The groundbreaking freestyle event brings a new version of a classic feature to the Schilthorn

From April 9 to 13, 2024, the Swatch Nines will return to the slopes of the Schilthorn with its breathtaking backdrop. In its second year at this spectacular venue in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the Nines will revive one of the most celebrated features in its 15-year history: the Perfect Hip.

In 2016, the original Perfect Hip made a decisive contribution to one of the most successful editions of the Nines. Back then, height records for ski and snowboard jumps were set that still stand today. In addition, there was an extraordinary media response and unforgettable experiences. In 2024, the Swatch Nines will revive the concept of a giant, perfectly shaped hip. But they wouldn't be the Nines if they didn't bring a new creative vision to the Hip. Fans can therefore expect many fresh ideas and variations in the new, transition-focused set-up.

CONCEPT: The Perfect Hip Reimagined

BREAKING WITH THE NORMS

The concept of the Perfect Hip breaks with the norms of conventional big air-oriented features and instead focuses on unconventional transitions. In addition to the central hip, there will be several additional elements that challenge the notion of what is possible on skis and snowboards.

In recent years, we have focused on more classic big air and slopestyle set-ups. In 2024, we will turn everything on its head and reinvent the Perfect Hip. Hip jumps of this size and quality are rarely or never built. THE LADIES REACH NEW HEIGHTS

A whole series of female athletes are invited to test the Perfect Hip. It is the first time that so many female skiers and snowboarders have ridden a hip of this size.

As always, the Swatch Nines invite the public to experience the action for themselves on Public Day. This year there will be no traditional contest, but the more relaxed format of a jam session. The Public Day will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Entry is free with a ski pass for the Schilthorn.
