A Day for Jake

On March 13, 2020, the first "A Day for Jake"-event held to honor the legacy of Jake Burton Carpenter. Thirteen resorts around the world are participating in "A Day for Jake" and offering free lift tickets for all snowboarders who pre-register to join us for a snowboarding event in memory of Jake on March 13th, and anyone who wants to strap on a snowboard is invited to participate: Riders, their friends and family members and everyone else, no matter what level.

The "A Day for Jake" event will also unite the entire snowboarding industry with many brands, professional team riders, locals, shop owners and employees. In honor of "A Day for Jake," all Burton offices and stores will be closed on March 13. And since one of Jake's passions was teaching others how to snowboard, some participating resorts are also offering "Learn to Ride" special packages for friends and family members of the snowboarding community and anyone else who wants to learn how to snowboard that day.

For free lift tickets, advance reservation is required at the event website required, the lift tickets are only valid for snowboarders. The registration ends on Sunday, 8 March at midnight.
