THE RIDERS - A MOTLEY FIELD OF STARTERS - Red Bull Rail Yard is the brainchild of Austrian Olympic starter Clemens Millauer, who feels at home not only in big air but also on rails. Currently injured, he will play a key role on site as an interface between riders, organization and judges. He is already playing a leading role in the conception of the sporting format and the setup. The field of confirmed riders is a colorful mix. Slopestyle and big air specialists mix with core jibbers. Olympic champions, rookies and amateurs: they will all make an appearance in the Railgarden in Kühtai. Double Olympic champion Anna Gasser, for example, won't miss the chance to tackle the setup, as will Australian Tess Coady, who returned home from the Olympics with a bronze medal. They will face rail specialists like Rachida Aoulad and Veroniqi Hanssen (both NED) in Kühtai. In the men's race, the US Americans Zak Hale and Luke Winkelmann will be traveling to the Tyrol, as will Canadian Frank Jobin. Leon Vockensperger, Benny Urban and Flo Corzelius (GER) will mix up the park with them, as will Jesse Augustinus (NED), Nicolas Huber (SUI), Toni Kerkelä (FIN) and Sebi Springeth (ITA). They are all looking forward to the Railgarden, which offers them a great playground for the event week. Numerous rails and features can be flexibly combined and promise tricky and creative sessions. Clemens Millauer says: "It will be a very fancy rail session, which has never been done before. What's really cool is the open quali, so really everyone can join in!"
