Silvaplana Winter Opening

'Save the Date' for the second edition of the Silvaplana Winter OpeningsSilvaplana and Corvatsch, Engadin's freestyle Eldorado, are kicking off the winter together. A winter season that has a lot of exciting things to offer, including the Freestyle World Championships with title decisions on Corvatsch in March 2025. Reason enough to celebrate the opening weekend with a varied program from November 22-24 to celebrate. Freestyle action combined with live music and more in the middle of the village as well as the first park laps on the mountain in Corvatsch Park.

Saturday is dedicated to the "Silvaplana Rocks The Rail" contests. Snowboarders and freeskiers, from children and amateurs to professionals, cavort here in the center of Silvaplana. It's a sight you don't see every day. Right on the old Julierstrasse, feature after feature is lined up; rails, boxes, hips, quarterpipes, everything is possible. Riders find their way to the finish between the houses. Divided into different age groups, the rail session is open to everyone who dares to take to the snow-covered streets. The pro contest on Saturday evening will be exciting, with snowboarders Nicolas Huber and Jeremy Denda among those taking part. To the registration.

Just around the corner from the riders' finish line is the large open-air stage. Cachita will be performing on it on Saturday. The young Swiss artist with Cuban roots knows how to make a statement with her clever and smart lyrics. Her songs combine influences from Latin, pop, RnB, soul and blues. Food trucks with delicacies, partner stands, live concerts and DJs to create the right atmosphere round off the complete freestyle experience. And all this with free admission.

But even in the valley, the little ones can take their first safe steps on one or two boards. The "Freestyle Snow Park" is set up in the Snow Kids Village right in the village center.
