Freeride world champion and professional snowboarder Aline Bock has been traveling the world for years in search of the best snow and waves and the adventures that come with them. She is a passionate athlete who lives for those very special moments out in nature. In the summer of 2021, her whole life turned upside down: Aline Bock became a mother of twins.
In the short film, she talks about the challenges she faced as a new mom of twins. Free-spirited and always independent, Aline defined herself for years by her passion for outdoor adventures. When it came to starting a family, she knew her life as an athlete would not be what it was before. She knows the struggles and hardships associated with achieving athletic goals, but none of that prepared her for the day-to-day grind of being a mom. In the first months after giving birth, Aline definitely reached her limits and was at the same time more vulnerable and stronger than she had ever been in her life: "Before the kids, I had no idea what real exhaustion felt like!" Authentic and honest, Aline talks about her feelings and how she tries to balance motherhood and her sports career.
Even though the journey has not always been easy, being a mom is the best job in the world for Aline. Every laugh, every hug, the many "firsts" and, above all, the love you get back as a parent eclipse any efforts and literally make them fade into oblivion.
A relentlessly candid film about a strong and independent woman finding her way into her new dual role as mother and athlete without losing herself in the process.
