The Freestyle Academy LAAX has renovated: Parkour, five-square freestyle trampolines and an immense vert ramp revitalize the part where the Snowflex area with the kicker system used to be. This brings with it a considerable upgrade, as a wide audience is given space to move and have fun with Freestyle.
Happy Faces
To have your finger on the pulse of time and be one tick ahead. This is what the freestyle experts in LAAX stand for. And so Europe's first Freestyle Indoor Base received an upgrade. After an intensive design phase and rapid conversion, the doors of the Freestyle Academy LAAX have been open again since mid-June. Ivan Capaul, mastermind and head of the Freestyle Academy LAAX, looks around the hall and seems completely satisfied: "I see happy faces. There are 15 kids on smaller trampolines with air bags, three jumping on the new freestyle trampolines, ten skating in the bowl and ten shredding through the parkour. That makes me happy. In any case it was worthwhile to rebuild!"

Skateboard for all levels
Special attention was paid during the upgrade to the different heights in the skating area. With 80 cm to 3.90 m, the development from easy to difficult can now be carried out. The extensive skateboard set-up ranges from street with obstacles and rails, a spine and mini ramps to the skate bowl and the vert ramp. "So now you can come into the hall, then you have your mission and can work on it. It's cool for everyone," explains Cedric Romanens, skate specialist in the Freestyle Academy team.
Surfer feeling in the mountains
Ivan Capaul says: "We want to follow through with the surf groove! With the Vert Ramp in the valley we have succeeded in creating the counterpart to the halfpipe on the mountain. Now you can also ride something big indoor. This is the LAAX world we represent. It's cool to think it up and make it happen."
Admission from 2,5 hours
As a rule, the Freestyle Academy LAAX is open daily from 13:30 to 21 hrs. The use of the entire hall costs CHF 24 (6-17 years) or CHF 30 (18 years and older) for 2.5 hours and requires the Royal Coachman (introductory course) once, purely for the skate/parkour area CHF 9 or CHF 13. Bookings can be made directly on site or online. The duration of the visit can be extended at will. The block times have been abolished. Everyone can come to the freestyle fun whenever they want!
