With her victory in the Big Air competition at the X Games in Oslo, Norway, Anna Gasser returns to competitive snowboarding after suffering a hairline fracture in her right ankle in January. The Austrian triumphed in the indoor event with a total score of 86.99 after landing a Cab Double Underflip 900 and a Frontside Double Underflip 900, with Japanese Kokomo Murase second and American Julia Marino third.

Gasser, 28, is world and Olympic champion in the discipline and now has five X Games medals, including three gold. Gasser on her victory: "It feels so good, it was a really challenging jump, and I'm so happy that I have the two double nines (Cab double 900 and Frontside double 900) could stand. To be honest, I had a terrible preparation, I didn't do any of those tricks and that makes ...to stand them up and walk away with gold."

The X Games Norway are the fourth and last X Games of the year 2019 after earlier events in Aspen, Minneapolis and Shanghai.
